Desiree was raised in a military family and spent most of her childhood in Spain. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a BA in Spanish and a BS in Dental Hygiene. Her fluency in Spanish allows her to serve the Spanish speaking clients.
She started her real estate career in Washington DC in 2003. The complex market of low inventory, multiple offers per property, high escalations, and mostly "as is" purchases, taught her to be very aggressive, fast acting, strategic, and highly skilled at real estate negotiating. These traits serve her well in the strong DC market.
In 2014, she was ranked in the top 6% of sales associates in North America for a prominent real estate company in Washington DC and prior to joining this company, she worked for another real estate firm where she ranked in the top 10 sales performers out of 120 sales associates for six consecutive years. She was also recognized as their #1 female single agent.
She participates in Susan G Komen 3 day walks and volunteers with fundraising for Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) DFW. HFOT builds mortgage free home for severely wounded service members in the US. Desiree is also involved in various social organizations.
As a resident of Capitol Hill neighborhood in Washington DC, she enjoys running on the US Mall or riding her bike around the city, trying new restaurants in the City, Embassy events, and enjoys attending concerts and plays at the various Theaters.
